The 7th Annual McDaniel Fundraising Tennis Teaching Pros Tournament is set to begin at 9:00 am on Thursday, March 15th at La Terraza Tennis Center. The championship will conclude with the final match at 4:00 pm on Sunday March 18th at the La Romana Country Club followed by an awards ceremony and reception for the players and sponsors. This year’s honorary chairman Helen Wynne will start the finals by serving the first ball to last year’s champion Pedro Nolasco.

The McDaniel Tournament pits the teaching pros of La Terraza Tennis Center against those of La Romana Country Club for bragging rights as to who is the best tennis player in the resort. Defending two-time champion Pedro Nolasco, fresh from his selection to represent the country in the Dominican Davis Cup team will be part of the 32-player roster competing for the top spot. The tournament carries RD$375,000 in prize money distributed to all participants with the winner taking home RD$40,000.
